Every AIS-140 alert

The tracker raises it.
Your phone rings.

LYRA reads both the AIS-140 packet type and its alert ID, so an alert is never lost because a maker reports it one way and not the other.

Emergency / panic button

The moment the panic button is pressed (emergency packet or alert 10), everyone watching the vehicle gets an SOS push with its location.

Tamper and box opened

Tracker box opened, tamper alert, or the emergency-button wire cut — so a disabled tracker never goes unnoticed.

Main power cut and restored

Know when the tracker is cut from the vehicle battery and running on its own, and when it is connected back.

Internal battery low

The tracker’s backup battery is running down — fix it before the vehicle disappears from the map.

Harsh braking, acceleration, rash turns

The tracker’s own driving-behaviour alerts, in LYRA’s alerts and reports for each vehicle.

Overspeed

The tracker’s overspeed alert, plus LYRA’s own speed limit per vehicle that you set in the panel.

Ignition on and off

Every start and stop, with engine hours, idle time and trips built from them.

Tracker health

Know the tracker is working, not just where it is.

Every AIS-140 packet carries the tracker’s own health. LYRA shows it next to the vehicle, so a weak battery or lost signal is fixed before an inspection finds it.

How to connect

Four steps, no new hardware.

01

Get your server settings

Once you are a LYRA customer or partner, your panel’s device setup guide gives the server settings for AIS-140 trackers.

02

Set the tracker and add it

Enter them with the maker’s configuration tool or SMS command, then add the vehicle in the panel with the tracker’s 15-digit IMEI.

03

It shows up live

At its first login packet the vehicle appears on the map, with power, battery and signal shown.

04

Alerts start straight away

Choose who is told about each alert. Panic, tamper and power-cut alerts reach their phones in seconds.

LYRA is your own fleet monitoring and alert platform. It is not a state VLTD backend or emergency response system: the connection AIS-140 rules require to your state stays with your device maker and is not changed by connecting to LYRA.

Which AIS-140 trackers work?

Any tracker that sends the standard AIS-140 packets (login, normal location, health and emergency) over TCP. We read the standard fields and alert IDs, not one maker’s format.

Does LYRA replace the state government (VLTD) server?

No. LYRA is your own fleet monitoring and alert platform. The connection AIS-140 rules require to your state’s backend and emergency response system is separate: check with your device maker that the tracker keeps reporting there.

Do the vehicle’s odometer readings carry over?

Yes. Set the vehicle’s current odometer reading once in its settings and LYRA keeps counting from it with every trip.

Can I add AIS-140 vehicles to a partner account?

Yes. Partners on our white-label platform connect AIS-140 trackers alongside every other tracker they sell, with the settings in their partner panel.

Do I get these alerts in the mobile app?

Yes. Every alert is a push notification in the LYRA app and appears in the web panel’s alerts and reports. Each alert type can be turned on or off.

What if my tracker also sends other data?

Location, alerts and the health fields above are shown. If your tracker sends something you need that we do not show yet, tell us and send a sample.
